The Ranch
Coyote Mountain Ranch is located in the lower elevations of the Blue Mountains, at 3400 feet, just outside of Dayton, Washington. We are surrounded by thousands of acres of farm, forest, and grazing land, giving us an abundance of trails for riding offering a great variety to challenge us all. Our riding facilities, which are in the works, will include a 110' X 220' outdoor arena, a 50' round pen, corrals for moving and working cattle, and a 70' X 120' covered arena. We have over one hundred additional acres that is like a huge outdoor arena that seems to have no boundaries. We grow Timothy hay for sale, as well as grass mix hay to feed our resident horses and cattle. The hay is mountain grown, no irrigation, and just one cutting. Surrounding our hay crops we have acres of fenced grazing land that is used to run cattle during late spring, summer and early fall. Our timber that we harvest helps with fire mitigation (combined with grazing), keeps our forests healthy and is used on our Ranch for building and for firewood. Deer definitely out way the human population up here on the mountain, and it is very common to hear the coyote howl at night or see one hunting in the hay fields. Hawks, owls, woodpeckers, and blue jays are among the abundant bird population. Wild life is always worth taking a moment to enjoy at Coyote Mountain Ranch, so bring your camera.
